Gifts of Blessings Christian Art Gallery - opened to serve.
An art gallery dedicated to glorifying God, with Jesus as the star attraction was the intent when Edward and Betty Evans decided to open its cyber doors, but what they received was far more.
Owensboro, Ky. October 13, 2006 ~~ Gifts of Blessings Christian Art Gallery opened its cyber doors in July 2006, with the purpose of selling Christian art and informing the visitors about the love of God, but as they developed the pages displaying the art, God showed them how much more this site could be.
Betty, who operates the business while Edward works outside the home, felt the need to expand the walls to include a page for the visitors who needed to know more about Jesus and a page for prayer request. Making it a more interactive site was her plan and it has worked.
People have utilized the prayer request page far more than expected, and from the request Betty can see visitors have also utilized the “How to know Jesus” page as well. When developing these pages she did not know if people would bother to look at them since visitors were entering a site to view and purchase art, but to her delight people are interested in something more.
The art work featured on Gifts of Blessings Christian Art Gallery is meant to challenge the viewer to reach for something greater than themselves and with many of the prayer request Betty can see that the meaning is being received. People who claim they don’t believe in God have responded with praise. What greater gifts than to have someone turn their life around based on the materials God used on the site?
Betty has plans to add a web blog to the site and other ways visitors can interact with each other, promote the love of God and meet the artist of the life changing art. People often ask her about the artist and how they chose their subject so with the addition of a blog artist can answer and share their own testimonies as well as see how the visitor has been touched by their God given talent.
Gifts of Blessings Christian Art Gallery is honored to present the beautiful works of art but is humbled and blessed to have the opportunity to share the glory of God. The Evans family knows God is the reason for their success and prays their site is as much a blessing to others as it has been to them.
